How Was This Universe Designed??

Have you ever wondered how this universe was designed? By how I don’t mean by whom, whether you believe in the Fickle Finger of Fate, a God or other Being compatable with your religious beliefs / culture / whatever or even the workings of chance. First of all, you don’t want to go to a lot of work and you want something that is as simple as possible, essentially maintenance free, yet able to evolve on its’ own. If you want randomness or chance you don’t want everything to wander off willy nilly. Randomness means that you have to have some sort of an attractor which limits the effects of randomness. It would also help if this basic building block applied to inanimate things, living inhabitants and random events to keep the universe interesting but not maintenance intense as far as system repairs are concerned.
Here is a possible design:

Line, Plate or Plane: Everything would rest on a line, plate, or plane. See Planet Theory, String Theory, Quantum Theory, Calculus based on taking mathematical "slices" of something as examples.

Constituents: Constituents are inanimate things such as a car, house, etc., living things including ourselves, and events which can be either random as in happened out of nowhere or planned such as next month’s vacation.

Time: Time provides randomness. See Stephen Hawking’s Book on Time. Time flows outward and is powered by energy which is taken from the inanimate and living occupants of this universe including the presence of events whether planned or unplanned. This taking of energy from the occupants and events causes the universe to deteriorate or be chaos driven. This is why everyone gets older and inanimate objects deteriorate. Events such as marriages deteriorate, business plans change, projects change etc.. Time moving forward in only one direction causes things to start randomly, run for random lengths of time and to stop at a random time. That is why it is difficult to "time" the market, market cycles, or even project the future based on extrapolating from present events.

Attractor: The Attractor limits the effects of randomness. This particular universe is based on the number 3 or alternately this universe is brought to you by the number 3. The number 3 is this universe’s attractor. This universe contains the previous universes numbered 0, 1, 2. Universe 0 is a point or a singularity. Universe 1 is a line. Universe 2 is length and width. Universe 3 contains length, width, and height. The 4th dimension Time is the randomizer for universes 0, 1, 2, and 3 . Universe 3 contains the preceding 0, 1st and 2nd dimensions. Anything in the first 3 dimensions is contained in the 3rd. This is why our most common useful fractions are combinations of our 3 dimensions. For example ½ , 1/3rd , 2/3rd ‘s and the concept of 0 is significant in mathematics.

Management Tectonics

If we imagine that a management problem is similar to a tectonic plate floating around on a sea of liquid unknowns similar to a tectonic plate holding the continent, people, and their ideas then what ideas should be on the tectonic plate in order to solve any problem??

Here are the ideas:

1. Define the problem beyond motherhood statements.
2. What exactly needs to be done in precisely stated points?
3. Is what exactly needs to be done in harmony with what is right for the business?
4. What is the action plan in terms of a stated series of steps.
5. Who carries the can in terms of the decisions to be made as circumstances change?
6. Remember that the world in which we live is chaos driven so plans have to be capable of alteration to deal with unforeseen events.
7. Who carries the communication can?
8. Circumstances may change, so stay alert for opportunities that might arise because of the problem.
9. For problem ownership think "we" instead of "I".

To America

You're the only country that can keep the baddies away from everyone's door. Yeah, I know the rest of us probably make you feel that you're unappreciated but hey you're only being treated like an older brother. Everyone likes to complain, criticize, offer suggestions, and generally second guess as well as playing Monday morning quarter back. When push comes to shove and if most of us who are reasonably sane want to stay alive the first thing we want to know is "Where is our older brother??"

How Blogging Just Might Save The World

There is a possibility that Blogging might just save the world. If you take a look at the old Bell Curve and divide it into thirds you will find that about 2/3rd of the area is in the middle and about 1/6th of the area is at either end. Our "betters" occupy the top 1/6th . The bottom 1/6th are those people that are worse off than the middle 2/3rd for a variety of reasons which won’t be discussed in this blog. The middle 2/3rd is the fabled middle class which everyone likes to talk about. The chief function of the top 1/6th is to control the middle class through economics, organized religion, and opinion. Economics, organized religion and opinion are The Gang of 3 a natural grouping which I alluded to in my Blog "Our Universe Is Brought To You By The Number 3". I’ll leave economics and organized religion out of this blog and discuss "opinion". Classical "opinion" is brought to you by those who control the media through economics and their employees that have the ability to write, the willingness to met their "mark" on cue, and the coherent thinking to fill the allotted column space. (Gang of 3 again). The media which brings the "message" has a limited circulation. Effective Communication is influenced by 3 things if we ignore the mechanics of communication for this blog. The old Gang of 3 consists of eyeballing, qualification, and the groupie syndrome.

Eyeballing:

99% of our initial information is concerned with eyeballing. The "buff" boy on the street, the girl with "Je ne sais quoi", the well dressed man / woman ---- Anyway you get the picture.

Qualifications: Why should I listen to you if you are not equivalent to me???

Groupie: Why should I listen to you if you are not part of my (interest) group, occupation, social class etc.???

Enter Blogging !!! Blogging doesn’t have to reveal anything about you other than what can be gleaned through your use of the written language. Hence no eyeball problems. Qualifications are only revealed vicariously through what I write. Groupie?? Who can tell?? If I’m reasonable clever I can duplicate the patois of any generation. Blogging is economically cheap, only the cost of a connection. Blogging means I don’t have to toe any "mark" on cue providing I have the minimal acceptable social writing graces. Blogging is world wide. Blogging is interactive. I can personally comment on anything written by people or even contact them directly or even (heavens to Betsey) tell them they are off the mark or on the mark.

What Might You Accidentally Learn:

1. People all come from the same Template with the same wants, desires, opinions, ideas, hope tailored to their own culture, environment etc..
2. It is awfully hard to get mad at someone you "like."
3. The upper 1/6th treat us like mushrooms. You know keep the middle 2/3rd in the dark and feed us B.S..

Template Management

In my blog "Who Designed This Place Etc..???" I made a passing reference to how our universe rests on a variety of Templates similar to the Tectonic Plates which carry various parts of the earth’s surface whether it be land or ocean.

Here are the fundamentals to keep in mind for designing your own personal Management Template:

1. First you try motivating your subordinates / children by threats. This is the most cost effective approach in terms of dollars spent. Your working career is assured. If properly done, upper management will applaud your devotion to the bottom line. If children are involved you can apply your devotion to their bottom line.

2. If this is ineffective then you complain to your "peer" group that your workers aren’t motivated in spite of your "best" efforts. A sincere demeanor is a prerequisite at this stage for maximum effectiveness.

3. If nothing is happening in spite of 1 and 2, try motivating them artificially by bribing them with cash. For maximum effectiveness have the specific tasks performance based.

4. If the workers do the work your response is to complain that you have to pay them. Be sure to notify your "peer" group that your subordinates / children are not self motivated.

5. If circumstances beyond your control force you to pay them then complain about their performance standard. Be
sure to emphasize in spite of your personal "standards" you are paying them out of the goodness of your heart. It will endear you to upper Management as a "caring" professional. It will also "screw" your subordinates out of any chance of career advancement. If you are a parent everyone will want to emulate your techniques. If you are really on the ball you can appear on TV as an authority on "How To Raise Hellions". This will also "screw" your children out of any chances to make friends or be successful in a structured environment.

Ironic Life

Life is a series of ironies if you think about it. Isn't life based on starting at the bottom if you are not born through a "C" section?? You start out in a cold, wet atmosphere (womb) and then are injected into a world (birth) where you immediately take your chances (rich, poor, indifferent). You accumulate like mad (up the old Bell Curve) over the top (kids on own, lots of money, traveling) down the other side of the Bell Curve ( retirement, sickness, reducing resources) and finally out the door (death) without showing anything for it (can’t take it with you). Then you go off to be judged (if you believe in the hereafter) and have nothing to show for it (can’t take anything physical with you).

Our Universe Is Brought To You By The Number 3

I don’t know if you are familiar with Sesame Street, however, at the beginning of the program the Count said that "This Program Is Being Brought to you By the Number (fill in the blank). It suddenly occurred to me that the Universe in which we live is brought to us by the number 3. I realize this statement only applies if you don’t believe in God or alternately whatever your religion / culture / beliefs call the higher force / being / whatever. We have 3 dimensions, length, width and height. Three strikes and you’re out. Things, good or bad, usually happen in 3’s. Most discussions have 3 major points. Traffic lights usually have 3 lights, red for stop, yellow for caution and green for go. You are usually given 3 chances to accomplish something. Most people can only remember 3 things on a list. The triangle, consisting of 3 sides is the strongest form of construction. The people you know in your life can be classified as acquaintances, friends and soulmates. If you organize a speech, tell them what you are going to say, say it and tell them what you said. If you think about your life, there are probable many more examples. Anyway you get the basic idea.

Who Designed This Place Etc..???

We are Bloggers from all over the world from different cultures, beliefs, life experiences and a whole lot of other "whatevers". I’m not so much interested in whether or not who has the "better" culture, belief, life experiences or "whatever" but rather how did "whatever" design this place?? I mean when we drink water it is always water and never water one day and acid the next day. If you were to design a world for the sake of argument wouldn’t it be easier to design it from one basic template and then introduce a randomizing factor so everything is "different" at first glance? I thought it would be a neat idea to explore this idea and in future Blogs I intend to do it. Stay tuned!!

Love

What is love? When we are young love is a 3 dimensional experience which is generally defined in terms of what we can see in 3 dimensions such as a gorgeous body, a smart car, or a good job. True and lasting love involves your soul which may be an entirely different kettle of fish when compared to a 3 dimensional body you occupy for a relatively limited time. Love is a marriage of one soul with another soul or in short a soulmate. There are 3 kinds of relationships. The first one is acquaintances who are people that you have met but have never graduated to become friends. Friends are obvious but what is the difference between a very good friend and a soulmate? Obviously you will do a lot of the same things for a friend that you will do for a soulmate so where’s the difference? To keep it simple the "tingle" for lack of a better word. If you can find someone that you want to be with through thick and thin and someone who has "Je ne sais pas quoi" then it is likely you have someone who is a little more than at the high end of your "friends" spectrum and hence a soulmate.

The Law Of Threes and Discussions

Think of a discussion as dividing a Bell Curve into three parts. The middle 1/3rd is where all the reasonable pro and con intellectual points for your discussion are situated. The top 1/3rd is where the extreme exceptions to your reasoned points lie and the bottom 1/3rd is where all the personalized slagging points lie if the middle and top 1/3rds can't help you. Most discussions start out in the middle 1/3rd of the Bell Curve with each side taking a pro or con position. When that well runs dry you move into the upper 1/3rd with the pro and cons taking the extreme examples to prove their pro or con argument. If that fails and the pro and con positions become hardened you then move into the bottom 1/3rd. Here the personalized summations of the other debaters character are discussed. If that fails try to get the other person off topic. If all else fails walk away or turn of the "anonymous" section of your Blog.
